The zoo in Eberswalde has the most exciting lion enclosure in the world: In the middle, visitors pass through a tunnel to a fully glazed cave. From the glazed cave, you have a direct view of the big cats sneaking around - and actually...vice versa. Nowhere else you will get this close to a white lion again!

The monkeys race through the forest

White-headed lemurs, common marmosets and calico lemurs - the monkeys at Eberswalde Zoo race freely through the forest demanding the visitors full attention. A total of about 1,500 animals from five continents make our Brandenburg zoo an extraordinary experience.

Siberian tigers love the cold

The largest living cat on earth is a symbol of all endangered animal species. At Eberswalde Zoo, the cold-loving Amur tigers live in the midst of an Ice Age glacier landscape with a climate path and adventure playground.

Almost 400 young animals per year

The zoo is happy to welcome new born residents nearly every month. Most animal children are born in the month of may, almost 400 young animals per year. Lately, in june 2023 the porcupines happily had twin-babies. Find out more about the latest new-comers at Eberswalde Zoo.

With its diverse animal population, it is not only a living natural history museum, but also an educational and research facility.
