Holiday fun
The Zoo School at Eberswalde Zoo is a special extracurricular place of learning. Here, children of all ages have the opportunity to discover the world of animals and plants in an exciting and playful way using all their senses. The zoo school invites children to experience nature up close by observing, feeling, hearing and smelling. It also offers a variety of programs for anyone interested during the vacations.
Children can take part in the Zoo School program when accompanied by an adult. The duration is approx. 30-45 minutes. A zoo school fee of € 2.50 per person is charged for the creative and educational program in the zoo school. The vacation programs are only held in German.

Winter vacation program
Period: 22.12.2025, 29.12.2025, 30.12.2025 and on 02.01.2026
The program is offered in the time from 09:00-12:00 and 13-15:00.
Registration is mandatory.

- Creative station: painting and decorating plaster figures
- How do animals survive the cold?
- Exciting discovery stand: Hibernation and hibernation. Winter activity, “How does the winter coat work?”

- Learning stations for foraging in winter
23.12.2025 Christmas surprise party from 10 am – 3 pm.
Santa Claus comes to the zoo again before Christmas.
Experience glowing winter creatures, creative candle making and the design of wooden gingerbread.
Highlight: commentated reindeer feeding with surprises for the animals at 2 pm!
On stage: Santa Claus show and colorful balloon modeling for children.
